How to create your subtitles

VisualSubSync is a subtitle program for creating and modifying subtitles. You only have to download from the net because it is free. You can also get your portable version to take in your USB memory.

Once you have created your subtitles, you can watch the video with them (two different files) when you play the video with the program VLC. If you prefer to embed them in the video file and just create a unique video file, you should use FormatFactory.

It is really much easier to do than it seems. Let's use it!

Here you can see this video with Basque subtitle: Zer egin eta zer ez egin sare sozialetan

Video projects in the classroom

MovieMaker is a free video editor if your operating system is Windows. MovieMaker is a quite intuitive and easy software that allows us to insert images, videos, music and voice recording in your projects. If you are working with very heavy files or your project is long, you should save your project from time to time. The reason is that your computer can crash, and then you will lose all the new changes you have done in the project. You can find a very good tutorial of MovieMaker in this site. It is a very complete material, made by Goio Ramos, a teacher from Ugao Eskola. He prepared the site in Basque in order to be a useful tool for teachers.

In this first session we have learned about DESCRIPTION. It is a topic that is learnt in all levels of education.
Here I share the presentation we saw. I hope to be helpful.

Our podcasts in podomatic

Here is My Cat Likes to Hide in Boxes in podomatic. Would you like to record your favourite story with audacity and then upload it onto podomatic, for instance? We'll try that next seminar! Other than that, since Marivi asked me about where she could store/share documents with other teachers, I've thought that we might explore dropboxa file hosting service which is very useful for that purpose.
