In addition to that, this Resource Guide for Secondary Foreign Language Educators may be downloaded clicking on the link! Even if it reads "secondary" it may be also used with primary school students. It is really interesting and practical!

I don't know how far my proposal is a bit too ambitious. Anyway, we'll discuss about it.

Planning our webquest
There we go! Here is a wequest course in Spanish created by Irene Gonzalez (B06 Berritzegune), Adela Fernández (B07 Berritzegune) and Mª Mar Pérez (Berritzegune Nagusia) that will serve us as a reference.
Before we start google sites we'll have to decide who the webquest is for and think about/ write the objectives we intend to fulfill with that project. In order to do that we may discuss the assessment criteria and descriptors for primary education. Next we'll plan the basic sections of the webquest: the introduction, the task, the process and the evaluation. Other parts, such as the conclusion or the teacher's page may be dealt with later. Here is a Christmas webquest draft for you to start planning it!
A new school year ahead!
Next Monday we'll start our English and ICT seminars. We'll discuss this year's work plan and we'll get down to work straight away.
Last year we agreed to work on tasks / projects that we may use to enhance students' learning processes. I've thought we may learn to use googe sites and create a webquest for our students. Perhanps something much easier than the webquests we examined last February and inserting resources we can already use, such as google docs forms , videos, songs, etc.

Plastic or paper
Hi friends! I have been watching this webquest: "Plastic or paper, a webquest on recycling".
http://chalk.richmond.edu/education/projects/webquests/paper/index.htmlI think it could be useful for my school if we get a Comenius project next year. In my opinion this webquest is very interesting. The tasks are good for our pupils . They could manage on their own, with teacher's help, of course . Anyway, sometimes my students could get lost, looking for information , I mean, I think some of the links could be a little bit confused.

Tricks to improve our blog
Picture from Flickrcc |
Here is a site that may be very useful to help us improve our blogger blog! For example, there you can read what to do to to have a new window open when you click on a link inserted in a post.
Seminar on March 14th
Next seminar we'll deal with learning to learn strategies and how we can help students develop this competence using ICT resources.
We'll review how to use google docs and how to embed a questionnaire. In addition to that, we'll review how to design our blog so that students can get resources to work on their own.

Webquests for kids
From Flickrcc |
We haven't delt with webquests lately but as they may be very useful tools to boost the learning to learn competence I've decided to bring them back so to say. Here are some webquests for English speaking kids that could also be used with our English learning children.

Video converter: from you tube to an mp3 file
Do you remember that we wanted to get some music to insert it into our audacity files? Here is a tutorial to convert a video into a sound file
Sunday, 13 February 2011
Our favourite composer's biography
We are going to read and get the main facts of our favourite composer's life and main works in order to write and record his biography using audacity. This time we'll also insert a piece of music, created by this composer, into our recording.
Finally, we'll create our own glog, our favourite composers, including all audios created + pictures + videos. We'll use these resources:
- Website to learn how to write a biography, and a brainpop video
- Website to download free classical music mp3s
- Websites to get information about great composers' lives and works:
- Classics for kids
- Arts alive
- Enchanted learning
- Audacity + glogster
We could start using a mind map and a graphic organizer
