This is a BBC schools site where kids can learn about some famous people in a funny way. In addition to that, on this site young learners can get to know some facts about famous musicians. Bio.Classroom offers lots of biographies as well as Enchanted Learning. We may use these resources to create our favourite famous person's time line.
We may help students with a graphic organizer where they can write biographical details of the person they've chosen : his/ her birth (date and place), family, early life, education, adult life, major accomplishments, how the accomplishments changed the world, and death (date and place).

I'm not sure if we've already presented this Topmarks site where you can find interesting whiteboard resources. Just in case, there you are.
Other than that, how about your webquest ? Did you finish it and put it into practice? Next seminar I'd like you to present your work to the group. We'll discuss pros and cons of what we've been doing so far and we'll agree on next steps. My proposal will be to design another webquest, but this time inserting other web2.0 tools: comics, geolocatzion, time lines, mindmaps... Please, you also think about your own needs and what you would like to learn/ work on.

There we go! Here is a wequest course in Spanish created by Irene Gonzalez (B06 Berritzegune), Adela Fernández (B07 Berritzegune) and Mª Mar Pérez (Berritzegune Nagusia) that will serve us as a reference.

Before we start google sites we'll have to decide who the webquest is for and think about/ write the objectives we intend to fulfill with that project. In order to do that we may discuss the assessment criteria and descriptors for primary education. Next we'll plan the basic sections of the webquest: the introduction, the task, the process and the evaluation. Other parts, such as the conclusion or the teacher's page may be dealt with later. Here is a Christmas webquest draft for you to start planning it!

Next Monday we'll start our English and ICT seminars. We'll discuss this year's work plan and we'll get down to work straight away.
Last year we agreed to work on tasks / projects that we may use to enhance students' learning processes. I've thought we may learn to use googe sites and create a webquest for our students. Perhanps something much easier than the webquests we examined last February and inserting resources we can already use, such as google docs forms , videos, songs, etc.

Hi friends! I have been watching this webquest: "Plastic or paper, a webquest on recycling".

In my opinion this webquest is very interesting. The tasks are good for our pupils . They could manage on their own, with teacher's help, of course . The way we teach English is changing as we are .
We have changed the methodology, the resources, the realia, the tools....
But sometimes we think we haven't got enough to share with students and we feel frustated. As far as I know, the material amount is so huge we canNot organize it in a right way and we are repeating the same thing everytime.
Just in case, I can show you a great site, ONESTOPENGLISH, where we can spend some free time searching fantastic resources, nice games, motivating activities, and so on.

A new school year has just started and here we are again, full of energy and willing to learn and exchange ideas, projects, school practice...
As you already know, the Basque Goverment call for projects to be carried out throught 2010-2011 school year has already been released. The deadline is September 27th so we have time to prepare it. Feel free to ask anything you wish. We'll start our seminar no sooner than October's first week and they'll be held on Monday afternoons as we usually do.
